Well, Sue's commission has been completed and posted off to her; I am also posted a couple of (not great quality) photos of the completed modified shrug. I modified the Two Tone Shrug pattern in the end; again I'm a little worried about the fit under the arms but it should fit well across the back, which is important in a shrug. Really did not like knitting the Louisa Harding sari ribbon - although it looks pretty it feels nylon-y, and like a lot of ribbon yarn those ends kept slipping out no matter how carefully I darned them in!
Also did a quick scarf in the same yarn (garter stitch on 15mm) - a quick, pretty knit. I have one in jewel colours which I wear a lot, and Sue wanted one the same as a Christmas present.
Linda's silver shrug is finished, just need to tidy up a few increases.
Julia's mum's Paris Loop is begun; I bought yarn in the end as didn't have enough. I am using Patons Spirit - a mid priced mohair blend in self striping berry colours. Working out ok so far, although the vintage mohair I used for Julia's was much softer.
AND I have cast on for myself - a quick fix as its boring doing so many commissions! A Carie Cropped Cardigan from Fitted Knits in Wendy Mega Chunky, petrol blue colour. I am going to modify the pattern to have shorter sleeves and a longer body. Pics pending!
What about all those other projects I was doing?? Oh dear. They're hibernating. I'd better update my Ravelry page....
