Sparkle, Honey, and Stash

Readers, I am in a mood for stash busting and instant gratification. Hence, the sparkle hat from the very first Stitch and Bitch book, which I did with yarn gifted to me by my mother. I don't know anything about the yarn except that she would have bought it from Spotlight.

The cowl also progresses well. I decided to do the Honey Cowl in the end, along with about a million other Ravelers, and its hypnotic, soothing rhythm has been a touchstone during this busy week.

Today I dug out some bamboo sock yarn from my stash - this will be a gift for my grandmother who I will be seeing soon, and some ancient Little Big Wool, for something from the Arabesque book for Julia, who gave me the book when I visited her recently.
